Toyota Lanka's MVP vehicle platform could not scale to marketing goals. I owned requirement finalisation and backend service design, cutting integration time 30% and query latency 15%.
Built a Sinhala AI-text detector with explainable predictions
SinXdetect
Sinhala had no reliable AI-text detector. I fine-tuned SinBERT, built the FastAPI + React app and shipped it with word-level explanations so users can see why a verdict was given.
Reduced manual sales errors 20% by replacing spreadsheet workflows with a live platform
AutoStream 1.0 (MVP)
Vehicle pricing and sales operations ran on manual spreadsheets. I owned the decision to keep the MVP data model narrow so it could ship fast, cutting manual errors 20%.
Validated 10,000+ property records into a land-value forecasting tool
LandPulse
Colombo buyers had no way to sanity-check land prices. I owned the data-quality decisions behind a forecasting tool validated on 10,000+ property data points.
Delivered a responsive service site that turned an offline cleaning business into an online lead channel
Shine Cleaning
An Italian cleaning service had no web presence. I chose a structure the non-technical owner could maintain unaided, and shipped a fully responsive site in Italian.
Kept a fitness e-commerce catalogue clean and shoppable as a co-developer
Badass Barbells
A fitness equipment retailer needed its catalogue to stay clear and current. I chose low-risk, template-first changes on a live store over a redesign.
About
Engineer first, now deciding what gets built.
I started as a software engineer and moved into delivery because I kept being the person translating between the business and the developers. At PayMedia I ran delivery for banking platforms: requirements, backlogs, sprints, UAT and releases. At Toyota Lanka I wrote the requirements for AutoStream and built parts of the backend myself. I'm now looking for a product role where I decide what gets built as well as how it ships.
The engineering background is the useful part. I can read an API contract, size a change with a developer, and spot when a requirement won't survive contact with the data model. For my final-year project I took a Sinhala AI-text detector from problem framing to a live app, including the model.

Junior Project Manager
PayMedia (PVT) LTD
- Owned day-to-day delivery of a video-KYC onboarding platform and a biller portal for a major Sri Lankan bank
- Led two cross-functional teams (7 people) and turned requirements from three client stakeholder groups into prioritised sprint backlogs
- Coordinated 3 production releases through UAT, client sign-off and handover to support
- Ran weekly status reporting to management and the bank, kept risk, issue and dependency logs through closure, and wrote root-cause analyses under ISO 9001 / ISO 27001-aligned processes

- Supported delivery of AutoStream, Toyota Lanka's automotive service platform, from a WordPress MVP toward a modular v2.0
- Ran requirement sessions with marketing and after-sales, wrote the Phase 1 requirement set, and coordinated sprints and priorities between the business and developers
- Built core backend services (NestJS, MySQL) and reviewed the external vendor's integration work
- Tracked progress, dependencies and defects, and supported deployments to AWS-based environments
