Kept a fitness e-commerce catalogue clean and shoppable as a co-developer

    Context

Badass Barbells sells fitness equipment through a storefront maintained by a small team.

    Problem

Product pages were inconsistent, which made browsing and comparing equipment harder than it needed to be.

    My role

Co-developer on a live storefront, sharing ownership with another developer.

    Constraints

    • Existing theme and plugin stack
    • Live store — changes had to be low risk
    • Shared ownership with another developer

    What I did

    My contribution

    • Supporting work: improved page layouts and product presentation consistency
    • Supporting work: handled content updates and catalogue refinements
    • Supporting work: ongoing maintenance and plugin/performance care

    Owned by the wider team

    • Brand direction and product photography came from the client
    • A second developer shared the build

    Artifacts

    What I'd do differently

    • I would agree a product-page template up front so every new SKU stays consistent without manual cleanup.
